By using the Solvita Digital Color Reader to read the colour of the test paddle a very accurate result can be obtained. The DCR vastly increases the reliability, precision and functionality of all Solvita Kits.
For Soil:
Simply insert low-CO2 paddle from a Solvita soil test and press READ. Display shows evolved CO2 which equates to the Carbon Turnover and the level of Bio-degradation in the sample.
For Compost
Insert Compost CO2 paddle after 4 hours, press READ. Display shows the evolved CO2 / Oxygen consumption over the 4 hour test period.

The DCR is pre-programmed to read High-CO2, Low-CO2 and Ammonia-NH3 when measuring the respiration of compost and soil. The DCR is both battery and USB powered. By using the USB port, the user is able to upload the reading for use in a spreadsheet or report.
The DCR comes with 12 tests (6 CO2 and 6 NH3 or 12 soil tests) and 2 test jars
