The new Digital Colour Reader (DCR) reads the Solvita® Test paddles to ± 0.05 Solvita colour units of precision.
In addition it displays the Solvita CO2 values in % for compost, soil respiration in ppm CO2/day and volatilized NH3-N in micrograms. These parameters readily convert to oxygen demand, soil N-losses, and expected release of seasonal soil-N.
Lab precision results are further enhanced when combining the Solvita® test plus DCR with the sample's weight giving product stability data in industry standard units, e.g.: mg CO2-C/g/day.

Soil C+N MineralisationTest

The Haney-Brinton test is a new Solvita test that measures active soil Carbon and predicts potential soil Nitrogen release from a sample of soil.
Reliable knowledge of the soil microbial biomass allows accurate prediction of the net nitrogen release and can be subtracted from planned crop fertiliser rates, thus saving money and potentially polluting nitrogen additions.

Compost Stability & Maturity Test

The test measures respiration rate plus volatile ammonia so that you can be sure it is stable and safe to use.
